Once
the bike has been washed with our wash n shine shampoo, it can then be
prepped. For the bike in the picture which is 3 years old and was in a
poor condition, prepping time was 40 minutes including the wheels. Once
prepped, the bike was glazed which took about ten minutes. The glaze was
left to dry for 5 minutes and reapplied. Once the bike has had its second
coat of glaze, a damp cloth was wiped all over the glazed areas.
This process we recommend you to repeat once a year to enable the bike to remain looking pristine and showroom new. As you can see from the pictures, the old paintwork which was dull came up looking brand new.
The seating area was then cleaned and sealed with the Vinyl & Leather Protector. This is sprayed onto the seat and wiped over with a dry cloth. This protects the seating area from stains and spillages.
The helmet was then cleaned with Visor Vision on the visor and the body of the helmet was prepped and glazed. Visor vision turns the polycarbonate on the visor hydrophobic which enables rain/water to hit the visor and simply run off. Visor vision reduces staining from rain water and also makes the visor easier to clean as no bugs, dirt or grime can bond to the surface so they can simply be wiped off.
Visor vision only needs to be applied once every six months and is available in a 110ml bottle. When riding along in the rain, visor vision means you will still be able to see as the rain simply beads and runs off the visor.There was enough wash n shine shampoo left in the kit to maintain the bike all year round.
For the exhaust areas, the prep and sealant can also be used to reduce staining from exhaust fumes. Our alloy wheel cleaner and protector can be used on the wheels of the bike to reduce staining from brake dust.
BIKE KIT: The U Glaze bike kit consists of 120ml preparation, 120ml wash n shine shampoo, 55ml surface sealant, microfibre cloth, pk 3 microfibre wipes.
VINYL & LEATHER PROTECTOR 110ML: This is applied to the seating of the bike and protects it from spillages and stains.
CRYSTAL VISION 110ml: Applied to the visor of the helmut - enables rain to bead and simply run off making riding in bad weather more bearable.
EASY SHEEN 250ml: A polish and cleaner in one - powerful enough to remove road film leaving the surface of the bike smooth and shiny - contains no silicon.
ALLOY WHEEL CLEANER 500ml: This is sprayed onto the alloy and left for a while before being washed off. Unlike some alloy wheel cleaners, this one does not burn the titanium nuts on the wheels.
ALLOY WHEEL PROTECTOR 250ml: This protector is applied after the alloy wheel has been cleaned with our alloy wheel cleaner. This forms an invisible barrier on the wheel reducing staining from brake dust making the wheel easier to clean.
U GLAZE SHAMPOO 500ml: A new hi foam shampoo which contains shine enhancer to compliment the glazed bike.
